Three Main Questions

The Organizers along with participants of the EXPO 2010 within the framework of the theme of the exhibition shall be searching for answers to three main questions:

1.      What kind of city makes life better?

2.      What kind of life makes cities better?

3.      What kind of urban development makes the Earth a better home for mankind and all its inhabitants?

In order to facilitate the search for answers to these three main questions, the organizers distinguished five subthemes, the starting point to which is viewing the city as a living organism and analysis of the city in two main contexts:

1. Structural (unit/family, groups/communities, cities/countries, earth/environment),

2. Temporal, i.e. showing a quest for a „better life” in cities over the course of history of mankind, city development started with lessons of the past and striving for a better future (past, present, future, timelessness).
