The Polish Pavilion

Development of the Exhibition theme is the fundamental task of each participant of the EXPO in Shanghai. In subsequent stages, the theme should translate into proposals of specific offers, events, realized at the national pavilions and other places.

The Polish Section has at its disposal the area of 3,000 m2.

May 6, 2008 -  the Program concept of Polish participation in World Exhibition EXPO 2010 was accepted by the Council of Ministers.

September 7, 2007 - the two-phase contest for the architectural concept of the Polsih Pavillion during the EXPO 2010 in Shanghai was announced. On Tuesday 11th December11th, 2007 the winners of the architectural design concept for the Polish Pavilion for EXPO 2010 in Shanghai were announced. The competition’s jury awarded three prizes and five distinctions.

The Polish Section of EXPO 2010 assumes construction of a prestigious, modern, original exhibition pavilion, which should combine reflection of the main theme of the Polish Section with contemporary architectural trends and requirements of the investor, and would shape new value in the scope of form and interiors. Anticipated is erection of a type 1 pavilion, i.e. designed and built individually by the participant of the Exhibition.
